Goodreads Reviews for Seducing Charlotte

Seducing Charlotte Cover-LargeThe early reviews for my debut historical Seducing Charlotte are in over at Goodreads and I’m both excited and relieved that people seem to be reacting favorably!

Most authors go through numerous rejections and, while a number of editors, agents and contest judges might love the book, others are far less enthusiastic.

But you never really know how regular readers will receive your work. Now that my book is finally out, I get to hear from readers for the first time. So far, the reviews are encouraging.

One of my most entertaining reviews is over at Amazon. Here’s a sample:

“The characters are lusty and likable… although since Cam’s wardrobe seems to consist of only skin tight breeches that outline his muscular thighs and accentuate his manly endowments, I wonder that he never gets a rash! (Did they have talcum powder back then?)”

I’m very grateful to everyone who is taking time to read Seducing Charlotte. Thank you!

I hope you’ll consider reviewing my book on Goodreads, Amazon, iBooks and/or Barnes and Noble to help me spread the word!

Seducing Charlotte, my debut novel which releases this month, was the second-place finisher in RT Book Reviews’ “Writing With the Stars” contest in 2011.

After five rounds of competition, online voting at RT Book Reviews determined the winner. It was an exciting and stressful time. Out of 10 finalists, I tied for second place in the international competition.  Not bad!

Seducing Charlotte has enjoyed success in other contests as well, including:
